Ballet
The Classical Ballet syllabus is grounded in a structured approach that emphasises technique, musicality, and artistry. Original music, composed and performed by Michael Brett—pianist for the Western Australian Ballet Company—accompanies the Progressive Grades, enhancing each student’s ability to express themselves and bringing out their full artistic potential.
The Classical Ballet program includes three key components: the Foundation Grades Syllabus, the Progressive Grades Syllabus, and the Major Classical Syllabus. Pre-Ballet introduces young dancers to the joy of ballet, while the six progressive levels focus on developing strength and technical skill. The Foundation Grades serve as a supportive bridge between each progressive level, helping to reinforce performance skills and build physical readiness.
